There's a bit of info, a few screenies, and a video so far. I advice watch the video in yotube, as it loads quicker than waiting for the offical site does. I basically expands on careers, lets your work decisions effect the entire town, and opens up more careers including fire fighting, ghost hunting, tattoo artist, architect, with appropriatte new skills, to learn to go with it, which you can earn side money from - inventing, tttooing, sculpting.

These must be Sims 3 Sims, as I currently don't have Sims 2 installed. But if you have a Sims 2 Sim you're welcome to take a picture yourself and I can try to work them in.

When checking out the loft stuff I came across this. Is this just a grab for money or for those too lazy to create sims in game? or does it have extra features?

An employee at a Dutch store (huge Dutch retail chain Bart Smit) saw this title on an upcoming releases list, slated for June 4th. vliegtuig1992 from the Dutch Sims forums and Sims2planet.com have confirmed with the store that this list and release is real.

So sounds like a bit of Free Time, but perhaps with more career stuff. Maybe we'll have a bunch more hobby-related skills, and some extra careers will be added to match those skills?

We don't even really need new rabbit holes to add jobs. I was thinking about this last night, and say they added dancing or acting as a skill, your Sim could do a job related to either of those hobbies at the theatre. And wouldn't it be cool if your Sim could dance or act/mime in the park for money?

New rabbit holes wouldn't be a bad thing though, not necessarily... I'm just not really sure how exactly they might go about adding new rabbit holes into the map without adding a new map to each neighbourhood. Or maybe you could have some "out of town" jobs. They'd leave your Sims more exhausted unless they had the workaholic trait, and they'd be longer hours because of the travel time, but the pay & rewards from the job would be greater.

Yes it's almost here! (this December apparently along with a new update) The thing simmers have been waiting for since the release. The Create-a world-tool BETA.
Create-a-world tool
This tool will be identical to the one actually used by the creators to create new worlds. Players can start from scratch to build terrain, or use Sunset Valley and Riverview as a base to build a world, or import things from photoshop and similar programmes. These worlds can then be uploaded and shared.
You will be able to completely design the terrain, from hills, and water, to roads, and lot placement and world decorations like lighthouses and water towers.

And yes that's actually the title. Catchy ain't it? You all know it will just get called Loft Stuff.
Just like everyone knew and feared the stuff packs are back.

Loft Stuff
Basically like all stuff packs it's just objects, walls and floors in what they believe are cutting edge designs, for teh lounge, office, den, and bedroom. Including special 10th anniversary gifts of sims 1 and 2 objects they think are the most popular.
And no they are not being nice and giving us the piano the majority of the community want. Cos lets face it you can be classical composer with just playing a guitar.
So what do we get? The heart shaped vibrating bed (did anyone actually miss that?) The electric guitar (do we need 2 types of guitar?) And the aquarium. Which here's hoping we can put our caught fish in there so we don't have to have 13 fish bowls dotted around to gain the perfect aquarium. Although saying that having piranha's and sharks in with other fish may be a bit of a bad move.
Release dates and pics unavailable, bar a tiny pic with a dodgy sofa, a stereo which looks like it will use 3 floor tiles, and a couple of sims in clothes which look strangely similar to already existing in game designs.

If you've got the Sims 3 but don't have the latest EP yet, then wherever you are in the world you can now download the latest game update via your game launcher which will add the pagoda roofs and basements to your game!

The compatibility of the update with custom content has not yet been established, if you have lots of CC you might want to wait to check it's compatible with the update first!

The basement tool is totally awesome. Click and drag an area of basement, straight or diagonal, under an existing house or on the ground. Even I can do it! No more bent bits of ground to hide. The only thing I, personally, don't like about it, is that when playing on the lower levels the house is surrounded by lots of black - there should be like dirt and dinosaur bones and stuff!

Unfortunately due to a severe lack of time on my part and the part of all the current moderators, I had to seriously consider closing TSS.

BUT that's not going to happen now, because I present to you your new forum leader, with bags of energy and enthusiasm and hopefully a weeeee bit more time than we have, jaws!

Jaws will be dealing with most of the forum management from now on, but I can still answer technical questions.
